The Legacy of Hotel Jackson
In 1977, Jim Darwiche was driving through Wyoming en route to Yellowstone National Park when his Volkswagon Westfalia broke down in Jackson. As the van was getting fixed Jim stayed at the Circle A motel, right off Jackson’s famous town square. Immediately enchanted with the town, the people, and the community of Jackson, Jim ultimately decided to leave his successful corporate career in aeronautics at Boeing in Seattle, Washington.
Eager to set down roots and realize his dream of becoming an entrepreneur at the base of the Tetons, the Darwiche family opened a restaurant, expanded into retail, and then commercial development before 35 years later creating Hotel Jackson next door to what was the Circle A Motel.
