The Total Eclipse in Jackson Hole: Living it Up in the Path of Totality

Hotel Jackson was directly in the ‘path of totality’ of the first coast-to-coast eclipse in 99 years, and the view was stunning from any angle. Against the incredible backdrop of the Grand Tetons, the sky came alive to the delight of thousands of visitors who came from around the world to witness one of the most spectacular natural events on Earth. At Hotel Jackson, we welcomed this historic occasion with a full program of events exploring health and wellness, as well as the history and culture of the area.

Jackson Hole, with its breathtaking scenery and clear skies, was long regarded as one of the best places to view the eclipse as it traveled a path beginning in Oregon and traveling directly over Wyoming. Residents of the town welcomed skywatchers with their trademark kindness.

Of course, Hotel Jackson had these amenities and more on hand for excited viewers staying with us, with transport provided to the Teton Valley and Grand Teton National Park. For more than two minutes the sky was ablaze, and the Washington Post was on hand to capture it on video. Some people even took the opportunity to do some slacklining!

Kundalini yoga classes Hotel Jackson is proud to have been at the center of the action for this historic event, and the guest activities made this unique event even more memorable.
