Jim Darwiche, Owner
As owner of Hotel Jackson, Jim Darwiche shares his passion for the people, place and ideas of Jackson Hole with guests from around the world. A resident of the area since 1977, Darwiche came to the U.S. from Lebanon at the age of 18 to study engineering. He originally fell in love with the area when his Volkswagen Westfalia broke down in Jackson en route to Yellowstone National Park.
He left his successful corporate career as an aeronautic engineer with Boeing in Seattle, Wash. Eager to set down roots and realize his dream life of being an entrepreneur at the base of the Tetons, Darwiche ultimately opened a restaurant, expanded into retail and then commercial development. Over the years, Darwiche opened several businesses, married and raised a family, and continues to give back to his adopted hometown through community service and politics, all while creating the finest luxury boutique hotel in Jackson.
Sadek Darwiche, General Manager
As co-owner and General Manager of Hotel Jackson, Sadek Darwiche brings over a decade of experience in business and finance to Jackson Hole’s finest luxury property. Prior to co-founding Hotel Jackson, he worked at both national and local financial firms including Wells Fargo Advisors, Wells Fargo and Jackson State Bank and Trust, focusing on strategic business planning, asset management and financial strategies. He has a degree from University of California at Berkeley. He was recently named one of 40 Under 40 by Wyoming Business Journal.
When Sadek is not at the office, he is helping his community by volunteering at the ever-popular Jackson Hole Farmers Market on the Town Square and spending time with his wife Farah and their two sons.
Jordan Murphy, Director of Operations
Jordan Murphy’s years of experience in hospitality at properties such as Denver’s Hotel Teatro help him lead our team to delivering unique stays for each of our guests. Raised in New Jersey, he holds a BS from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. He fell for the hotel business after hiring on at a property near Denali National Park in Alaska as an easy way to explore fly fishing and backpacking there. Jordan found that coming to know with people as they stayed at a hotel was interesting and that his work was gratifying, so he made hospitality his career.
When he is not at work, Jordan can be found fly fishing, trail running, camping, hunting, skiing and doing just about other activity where he can spend his time outside.
Virginia Tavella, Sales Manager
Born and raised by Italian parents in Argentina, Virginia Tavella earned her Masters in Hospitality Management from the University of Cordoba. Her passion for foreign languages, different cultures and travel stem from her childhood and motivated her to Italian and French and travel around the world.
Her hospitality career started in Argentina and includes more than a decade in Europe. She has worked for various luxury and boutique hotels where she progressed through many operational roles before finding her true passion in sales. After 10 years in Paris, she worked as Senior Sales Manager The Dorchester Collection and La Reserve Luxury Collection.
After getting married, Virginia followed her husband and moved from Switzerland to Canada and now has the pleasure of leading the Sales Team at Hotel Jackson. In her a free time, she to spends time with her son and husband enjoying the outdoors in beautiful Jackson Hole.
David Caprario, Front Office Manager
David has spent his professional life across a wide spectrum, including stints with Peace Corps, Doctors without Borders and as a commodity options floor trader in NYC. David is very grateful to be part of a family owned hotel that is seeking to establish a new level of service in downtown Jackson. He grew up eating Lebanese food and reminds himself every day how lucky he is to work with the team at FIGS restaurant and to be able to enjoy their wonderful food.
When David is not working he can be found watching soccer or enjoying the Jackson Hole Farmers Market on weekends. He and his wife have been married for sixteen years and after significant world travel have found a home in Jackson.
Zeenie Scholz, Marketing & Technology Specialist
Zeenie Scholz grew up in family owned and operated hospitality at a small, remote dude ranch in Teton County, Wyoming. After graduating from Lewis & Clark College, she made a career at notable non-profit organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oregon and the National Museum of Wildlife Art of the United States. Ultimately, however, she was called back to her roots in gracious hospitality to help visitors make treasured memories in her hometown.
Zeenie has a passion for design, technology and sharing stories of her home and travels around the world. For example, she split her childhood summers between the remote wilds of the Gros Ventre mountains and bustling cities of Taiwan, alternating between making friends on horseback and others at open-air markets – experiences that help her every day as she makes new friends at Hotel Jackson.
When she’s not at work, you’ll find her spending time with her dog, cooking Chinese food and obsessing over the color orange.
