Jackson Hole’s 2015 Grand Teton Music Festival Launches July 1st
The widely celebrated and much anticipated Grand Teton Music Festival is upon us – returning in one week for the Season 54 Summer Festival from July 1st to August 15th.
Held in Teton Village at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, this classical music event has been a tradition in Jackson Hole since 1962. The renowned festival spans seven weeks and features esteemed soloists and musical artists who come from far and wide to share their talents and passion with the local Jackson Hole community.
Since 2006, the internationally acclaimed music director Maestro Donald Runnicles has been leading the festival and has helped it to become one of the nation’s finest orchestral organizations. The festival invites and highlights several guest artists each year, from big names in classical music to rising stars. A few of the anticipated artists in the 2015 festival include James Ehnes (violin), Alisa Weilerstein (cello), Denis Kozhukhin (piano), Doug LaBrecque (soloist), Kelley O’Connor (mezzo-soprano) and Simon O’Neil (tenor) – just to name a few.
