History

Jim Darwiche moved to Jackson Hole in 1977 after falling for the scenery and friendly community of Jackson Hole. With his wife Safa, he opened several businesses in the valley and became involved in community government at the invitation of a friend. Proud of his community and thankful for his dream life, Jim wanted to share the unique characteristics of Jackson Hole’s hospitality, area and ideas with visitors. Thus, Hotel Jackson was born. With his wife and sons, Sadek and Dorian, Hotel Jackson is the family’s passion project and commitment to give back all they can to Jackson Hole.

The name is a nod to Jackson Hole’s rich history. The original Hotel Jackson was one of the first five buildings that made up the town of Jackson in the early 1900s. Located around the corner from its current home, the hotel stood on the corner of the Town Square, now home to Legacy Gallery.
