Jackson Hole Attractions and Activities

National Parks

The beauty and grandeur of Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park are breathtaking, inspiring and to some, life-changing. Located just north of Jackson Hole, visitors have the opportunity to hike, boat, bike, drive or simply relax and take in these epic landmarks.

Grand Teton National Park offers many treasures. Take a leisurely boat ride across Jenny Lake and then hike to Hidden Falls or Inspiration Point. Wildlife safari guides help you locate grizzlies, elk, moose, wolves and many other species of wildlife that inhabit the park. Take a few minutes to contact our Concierge Team to help you book adventures and activities.

Yellowstone National Park, located one hour north of Jackson Hole is the nation’s iconic first national park. Well known for Old Faithful, colorful gurgling geysers and hot pools, cascading waterfalls and amazing wildlife, the vast park has endless opportunities to explore. If you plan to spend an evening in Yellowstone, we recommend booking at least six months in advance. Let our Concierge Team assist you with accommodation recommendations.

During the winter, Yellowstone is a site to behold. Travel to the park by snowmobile or snowcoach and experience the winter peace of Yellowstone and unique steam and ice formations created by the geysers and hot springs. Snowshoe or cross-country skiing around the Old Faithful trail system is a wonderful way to explore the Park in its winter glory.

Shopping

Surrounding the iconic Jackson Town Square, you will find a variety of shops and boutiques offering artisan crafts, jewelry, fashion, fine art, adventure clothing and gear and, of course, western wear and Jackson Hole logo apparel. Our Concierge can provide a map of the area and suggest shops based on your needs.

Arts & Culture

In addition to being in the heart of the wildest and largest in-tact ecosystem in the lower 48, Jackson Hole is also a major fine art and culture market. The annual Fall Arts Festival in September draws hundreds of artists and patrons of the arts to Jackson Hole for events such as Western Visions® at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, Western Design Conference and the Jackson Hole Art Auction.

For visitors who would like to weave arts and culture with their epic vacation adventures, you will find more than 70 art galleries, the National Museum of Wildlife Art, the Jackson Hole Center for the Arts, world-renowned Grand Teton Music Festival and so much more.

The National Museum of Wildlife Art of the United States has a collection featuring more than 500 artists in its permanent collection including such notables as Georgia O’Keffee, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso and Frederic Remington and works of art dating from as early as 2500 BCE. Explore their 14 galleries, the outdoor Sculpture Trail and children will enjoy the Discovery Gallery with special activities just for them. Take in amazing views of the National Elk Refuge from the Museum and lunch at Palate.

Throughout the year, Jackson Hole’s Center for the Arts hosts a variety of national artists, speakers and special events. Enjoy art, theater and dance classes, as well as regular exhibits in their art gallery. For more information, visit their website for the schedule of events.
